Loretto’s Sedgwick Heights offers four residential programs for older adults based on the level of assistance needed. All Sedgwick Heights’ programs are licensed and regulated by the New York State Department of Health.
Adult Home Program
Our Adult Home Program provides services for residents who require some assistance with daily living activities at an affordable monthly rate. They include:
- three meals and a nutritious evening snack daily
- laundry and housekeeping services
- bathing supervision and dressing assistance
- medication monitoring
- coordinating medical appointments and scheduling transportation
- access to nursing care 24 hours a day
- counseling, referral and social work services
Assisted Living Program
Sedgwick Heights’ Assisted Living Program is for medically stable individuals who qualify for nursing home level of care and are eligible for Medicaid. Individuals in the Assisted Living Program receive all the services listed above under Adult Home, and:
- safety checks
- escorts to meals
- glucose monitoring
- assistance with oxygen therapy
- bathroom (toileting) assistance
Short-Term or Respite Stay Program
Sedgwick Heights’ Short-Term or Respite Stay Program is available to individuals who need a temporary living setting with support services, such as immediately after a hospital stay, or while family members or caregivers are away. Short-Term or Respite Stay Program services include:
- assistance with the activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, medication assistance and personal hygiene
- three meals and nutritional snack served daily.
- a supportive staff of health-care professionals on-site and available 24 hours a day.
- daily bed-making, laundry and housekeeping, monitoring and emergency response
- scheduled transportation
